Bachelor in Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry a 5½ years undergraduate program that comes under medical discipline. It deals with the study of medical diagnostics, and treatment of diseases of the animals. Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) is a course that deals with curing, treating as well as studying the various diseases occurring in animals and birds, thus studying the physiology of the animals in detail. In B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree course covers the study of subjects like Veterinary Anatomy & Histology, Veterinary Physiology, Veterinary Biochemistry, Veterinary Pharmacology & Toxicology, Veterinary Parasitology, etc.
Eligibility Criteria
Students who have passed 10+2 or equivalent examinations with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized board of the country are eligible for admission into this course. In this Minimum Age Required 19 Years.
Previously, the Veterinary Council of India conducts the All India Pre Veterinary Test (AIPVT 2021) for admission to Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc & AH). It was an examination of 3 hours duration and contains 180 objective-type questions from the PCB group. From the year 2017, this exam has been scraped by NEET 2021. So candidates have to qualify NEET exam to get admission in Veterinary courses.
